When considering redoing the exterior of a home, the best option is insulated vinyl siding.  While it is true there are many different choices when it comes to the materials to put on the outside of a home, there are just as many disadvantages with many of those choices.

Brick is perhaps the most expensive of all.  Over time, it will crumble, and it must be sand blasted to be cleaned.  This again can turn into a costly expense to have to maintain throughout the life of the brick.

However, insulated vinyl siding is durable, inexpensive, low maintenance and resilient to all of the weather that it may be forced to endure.  Not only that, but it doesn’t dent or ding as easily, and it will not rust.  It is not prone to insect damage or rot. 

Insulated vinyl siding does not need to be painted.  This is a huge plus.  It also has built in cost savings because it is already padded to provide energy savings.  This could potentially cause it to pay for itself over the life of the covering versus the savings seen on heating and air conditioning bills. 

There are many different types, styles, colors and textures of insulated vinyl siding.  Being able to easily choose the color of the exterior is half the battle when deciding to remodel.  This covering makes it easy because there is a wide spectrum of colors from which to choose.  Options also exist for something that mimics another material such as wood or stone. 

Adding insulated vinyl siding to a home can increase its value and give it great curb appeal.  This is very important if the homeowner ever decides that they want to sell the home at some point in the future, which most people do at least once in their lives.
